研討會摘要:

　國際上，探討維基解密創辦人朱利安•亞桑傑的學術著作可謂俯拾皆是，然而在台灣，相關學術討論卻付之闕如。隨著亞桑傑於未經審判定罪情況下在英國監獄遭獨立禁閉將邁入第六年，學界再次掀起了新一波討論。此案不僅涉及言論與新聞自由及更廣泛的普世人權，同時對此刻詭譎多變的全球局勢亦有深遠影響。三位與談人中，馮建三將從新聞自由角度切入，鍾秀梅談亞桑傑的抱負與理想社會的追求，盧倩儀教授則以歐美政治為基礎進行分析。

Abstract：

  Internationally, academic studies on WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, continue to grow. Within Taiwan, however, such discussions are completely absent. As Assange enters his sixth year of solitary confinement in the Belmarsh Prison in the UK with neither a trial nor a conviction, a new wave of global discussion on the case has once again emerged. Just as future court rulings and political decisions will have a far-reaching impact on press freedom, freedom of speech and human rights world-wide, so the fate of Julian Assange will provide us some clues as to the direction the world, chaotic at the moment, might be heading.
